St Luke’s Catholic Parish Child Care Centre
St Luke’s was established in 2008 and we are located within the grounds of St Luke’s Catholic Primary School and St Luke’s Catholic Church.
St Luke’s works in partnership with both St Luke’s Catholic Primary School and St Luke’s Catholic Parish community and families.
St Luke’s Catholic Child Care Centre is a 76 place centre – Nursery, Toddlers, Junior Kindy and 2 Kindergarten rooms. We offer a richly supported play based learning environment where we view each child as an individual, respecting their ideas and abilities. We encourage them to explore the possibilities as they encounter experience and the world around them.
At St Luke’s we provide opportunities for children to have ownership of their space and negotiate learning within their program.
We are a part of a larger Centacare family with a variety of support networks and services to assist and support families.
Kindergarten Program Information
St Luke’s has two Kindergarten rooms. Both rooms offer the Queensland Government Kindergarten Program for children aged 3 to 5 years.
The Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline is the curriculum framework used to support the children as learners and to build on each child’s interests and abilities.
This document guides our everyday practice, and in conjunction with our philosophy, guides our interactions with children, families and colleagues.
