If you have a disability and currently receive services under the Queensland Community Care (QCC) program, it’s important to note that your service agreement and funding under this program will end on 30 June 2019.
The good news is that you may be eligible to transition to the NDIS. If you do transition to the NDIS you will continue to receive supports and, in many instances, additional services as part of an NDIS plan.
It’s critical that you move quickly to determine if you are eligible for the NDIS.
Your first step is to phone the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) on 1800 800 110 to make an Access Request. We can help guide you through this process. Phone us on 1300 236 822, call your Service Delivery Manager or talk to your support worker.
The NDIA will respond to you in writing to let you know whether you are eligible for the NDIS. If the NDIA deems you as ineligible, it’s important that you let us know. You will continue to receive QCC services until 30 June and we can help you transition to the new Queensland Community Support Scheme (QCSS) if you are eligible. The new scheme begins on 1 July 2019.
