Formerly known as ‘respite’, Short Term Accommodation (STA) gives NDIS participants* the opportunity to experience time away from the family home in a safe and supportive environment. This can also be a great opportunity for families and carers to enjoy some time to themselves.
We have locations available across South East Queensland and invite you for overnight, weekend or holiday stays. Our accommodation is designed to make sure you feel welcome and comfortable, and that you are supported to exercise choice and control in your day-to-day living. Your privacy is carefully balanced with the opportunity to meet and connect with others, with separate bedrooms and, in some locations, ensuite bathrooms. Centralised common areas and outdoor areas are spacious, comfortably furnished and invite you to enjoy a meal together or a chat with a friend.
While our qualified, experienced and caring team provide around the clock support, our focus during short-term stays is independence, with options for you to participate in a range of programs and activities, you’ll look forward to getting out and about in the community, meeting new people, developing life skills and enjoying new experiences.
* The NDIS funds Short Term Accommodation under the Core Support category ‘Assistance with Daily Living’ (Support Category 1.01 in a NDIS plan).
