Live your senior years the way you’ve always wanted
We offer a range of programs, therapies and services to maximise your independence and help you remain active, healthy and socially connected.
We believe that having a sense of purpose can make a real difference to your quality of life. Whether you want to indulge your hobbies or take up something new, make new friends, join a group or go on a short trip, we have a great range of activities, classes, excursions and opportunities for you to stay connected and make the most of every day.
Health and wellness
Active aging is healthy aging! Our walking groups and fitness classes can be tailored to your individual goals, whether you want to keep fit, build strength or recover after an accident or illness. We can also help you maintain a healthy, balanced diet with support to plan, prepare and shop for nutritious meals.
We offer a range of allied health and therapy services including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology, social work, speech pathology, podiatry and nutrition. Services are provided by qualified clinicians either in your home, at your local Centacare service or via telehealth.
Enjoy the confidence that comes from feeling your best. We can drop in as little or as often as you would like to help with bathing and showering, getting dressed, grooming, using the bathroom and moving around your home. We can also help with fitting and maintaining sensory aids and monitoring medication – whatever will help to make your day go smoothly.
Live safely and happily in your home. Our team will work with you to create a program of regular visits to your home or we can drop in when needed. We can lend a hand with cleaning, changing bed linen, grocery shopping, cooking, and gardening jobs. We can also help to organise your bills and appointments and set up and use your technology.
Home safety and maintenance
Our specialist team of licensed tradespeople will make sure your home is safe, secure and well maintained. We can install hand rails, ramps, smoke alarms and mobility aids, upgrade your home security, repair your white goods or leaky tap, trim your hedges and clear your gutters. The list is endless! Getting out and about
If you’re finding it tricky to get out and about we can run you to the shops and get you to and from your appointments and social outings. We also have shared, community transport options in some of our more regional areas.
Enjoy a short break from your routine and the opportunity to connect with like-minded people in a relaxed, home-like environment. Our respite cottages offer 24 hour support, freshly prepared meals and the flexibility to stay overnight, a few nights a week or on weekends.
Support for family and carers
Our flexible respite options provide families and carers with the time they need to take care of their own health needs, go to work, manage a family or simply take a break. We can arrange for 24 hour support for you in your own home or at one of our small, home-like respite cottages in McDowall and Albany Creek. We also provide counselling services to support carers.
We understand the many challenges presented by dementia. We have specialist dementia carers who can help improve quality of life for people living with dementia and their carers. Our Memory Cafes provide a dementia-friendly space where people can relax and be themselves, discover helpful hints and share stories over a cuppa. Find out more
