The NDIS started rolling out across South East Queensland on 1 January 2017 and this rollout is due to be finalised in two years on 1 January 2019.

Logan and Redlands

The NDIS will become available in the local government areas of Logan City and Redland City from 1 July 2018.

Brisbane

The NDIS will become available in Brisbane City areas north and south of the Brisbane River from 1 July 2018. This covers the local government area of Brisbane City.

Moreton Bay including Strathpine and Caboolture

The NDIS will become available in the local government area of Moreton Bay, including Strathpine and Caboolture, from 1 January 2019.

Gold Coast and Hinterland

The NDIS will become available in the Gold Coast and Hinterland from 1 July 2018. This covers the local government area of Gold Coast City.

Ipswich, Lockyer, Scenic Rim and Somerset

The NDIS will become available in Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim and Somerset local government areas from 1 July 2017 (May 2017 for existing clients).

Sunshine Coast, Noosa and Gympie

The NDIS will become available in the local government areas of Sunshine Coast, Noosa and Gympie from 1 January 2019.

Fraser Coast, North Burnett, South Burnett and Cherbourg

The NDIS will become available in the Fraser Coast, North Burnett, South Burnett and Cherbourg local government areas from 1 July 2018.

Toowoomba

The NDIS will become available in the Toowoomba area and west to the borders from 1 January 2017. These districts cover the local government areas of:

  • Goondiwindi

 

  • Maranoa
  • Murweh
  • Paroo
  • Quilpie
  • Southern Downs
  • Toowoomba
  • Western Downs
