Our Learning and Leisure programs provide services to people with a disability.
Learning and skills programs is a person-centred support to enhance the independence, confidence, self-esteem, interaction and life choices of each person. The program provides support where individuals can access a range of learning programs, as well as recreational and social activities.
Our services provide flexible programs, actively engaging with people to help them to identify and express their needs and goals. Our priority is to provide quality care and support in response to individual needs in a safe, secure and stimulating environment. Our highly skilled, qualified staff and volunteers are matched to meet individual needs and goals of the client.
Some programs we provide are:
personal and lifestyle development, such as:
- community volunteering
- travel training
- practical literacy
- practical maths
- learning through leisure
- skills for life (cooking, money handling, grooming).
Group activities provided:
- music and drama (in partnership with Blue Roo Theatre Company)
- social groups
- one off day events
- themed dance parties
- horticultural skills program on a 10 acre farm at Yatala.
