Housing and Homelessness

Housing and Homelessness

Our homelessness support programs provide ways out of homelessness for vulnerable people and their families. The program aims to create partnerships with individuals and other organisations in the community to enable us to support those who experience homelessness or who are at risk of becoming homeless to maintain their tenancies. Services can support people to maintain their tenancies by providing assistance in completing forms and liaising with bond and rental agencies/organisations. Our homelessness support programs operate within Brisbane South, Hervey Bay, Maryborough and Bundaberg regions.

Centacare’s emergency housing program is located in Hervey Bay with a focus on providing crisis accommodation for individuals and families who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. Our program aims to provide safe, secure and affordable accommodation for individuals experiencing crisis. Our crisis accommodation facilities contain a number of emergency houses with a dedicated women’s share house.
