Peter Selwood

Mr Peter Selwood has held the role of Executive Director of Centacare since 2001 and during that time service capacity has expanded greatly with annual turnover growing from $25m to in excess of $150m.

Mr Peter Selwood has held the role of Executive Director of Centacare since 2001 and during that time service capacity has expanded greatly with annual turnover growing from $25m to in excess of $150m.

Peter has extensive hands-on and strategic experience in all aspects of financial management to ensure financial sustainability and growth. He has lead Centacare in the development of comprehensive strategic plans with clear actions and definable measures that respect an organisation’s vision and values.

Peter is a director of Catholic Social Services Australia Ltd and a former director and audit committee chair of the Australian Catholic Superannuation & Retirement Fund, as well as a former director of Boystown.

Given his strong focus on community services, Peter has been the Chair of the Marist Ashgrove Finance Committee for more than 10 years and formerly on equivalent committees at All Hallows School.

John Chalmers

Director of Mission and Formation | MA ThM D Min MHEd

Fr John Chalmers has held the positon of Director of Mission and Formation since 2013. In this role John brings the perspective of being a Practical Theologian to assist people to reflect theologically on their work and integrating Centacare’s Vision within the work it does. Prior to this role John was Director of Centacare’s Pastoral Ministries for 11 years, where he oversaw hospital and prison chaplaincy, Murri Ministries and international seafarers support within the Archdiocese of Brisbane.

John Chalmers

Director of Mission and Formation | MA ThM D Min MHEd

Fr John Chalmers has held the positon of Director of Mission and Formation since 2013. Prior to this role John was Director of Centacare’s Pastoral Ministries for 11 years, where he oversaw hospital and prison chaplaincy, Murri Ministries and international seafarers support within the Archdiocese of Brisbane.

Ordained a Catholic priest in August 1973, John worked in a number of parishes within the Archdiocese of Brisbane for 18 years. John also worked as a chaplain in neo-natal intensive care supporting many families during his three year tenure. John has been teaching at a number of universities for over 20 years where he has offered many students a practical approach to theology and the mission of the Catholic Church.

Anne-Marie Corbett

Anne-Marie Corbett joined Centacare in 2002 as Performance and Quality Manager, bringing significant experience from the banking and finance and not-for-profit sectors. Anne-Marie has been in the role of Director Governance and Risk for the past four years to support a number of key business areas within Centacare and to ensure a strategic understanding of its operating environments within a relevant, recognised governance system.

Anne-Marie Corbett joined Centacare in 2002 as Performance and Quality Manager, bringing significant experience from the banking and finance and not-for-profit sectors. In her role of Director Governance and Risk, Anne-Marie oversees a whole of organisation approach to governance, compliance, policy, risk, quality and communications and marketing.  The aim of this is to support the Centacare mission of leading social change, strengthening families and supporting people in the spirit of the Gospel.

 

Alana Crouch

Director Centacare Child Care Services | Dip Ed

Mrs Alana Crouch has been with Centacare for 13 years and Director of Centacare Child Care Services since 2011.  Prior to this Alana held the position of Operations Manager, managing the team of Regional Coordinators. Alana started her career with Centacare as coordinator of an Outside School Hours Care service.  Before joining Centacare, Alana held positions within Long Day Care and Outside School Hours Care Services in addition to relief teaching within schools.

Alana Crouch

Director Centacare Child Care Services | Dip Ed

Mrs Alana Crouch has been with Centacare for 13 years and Director of Centacare Child Care Services since 2011.  Prior to this Alana held the position of Operations Manager, managing the team of Regional Coordinators. Alana started her career with Centacare as coordinator of an Outside School Hours Care service.  Before joining Centacare, Alana held positions within Long Day Care and Outside School Hours Care Services in addition to relief teaching within schools.

Alana’s experience has allowed her to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in both service delivery and the management of services.  In addition Alana’s focus has been to strengthen links for services within their local communities such as schools, parish and with families to assist in fulfilling the Mission, Vision and Values of Centacare.

Bram Green

Director Information Communications and Technology | BSc Comp Sci (Hons) – UTS

Mr Bram Green has been Director Information Communications and Technology for the Archdiocese of Brisbane since 2006. Bram is a business IT professional with more than 25 years of experience in business IT strategy and delivery across a broad range of industries.  Included in his cross industry experience is a particular focus on not-for-profit and government sectors.  Bram’s experience covers business IT strategy development and delivery, systems implementation (both package and bespoke development), large scale project management, systems integration, business continuity planning, and quality management processes.

Bram Green

Mr Bram Green has been Director Information Communications and Technology for the Archdiocese of Brisbane since 2006. Bram is a business IT professional with more than 25 years of experience in business IT strategy and delivery across a broad range of industries.  Included in his cross industry experience is a particular focus on not-for-profit and government sectors.  Bram’s experience covers business IT strategy development and delivery, systems implementation (both package and bespoke development), large scale project management, systems integration, business continuity planning, and quality management processes.

Bram’s expertise brings to Centacare experience in the use of ICT in delivering social services in a continuously changing sector where technology will be more imbedded in the delivery of service offerings and in the support of Centacare’s clients.

Christine Hodge

Ms Christine Hodge has been Director of Centacare Family & Relationship Services for 8 years and during this time Christine has led services that effectively support families, children and young people to manage the many challenges of family and community life.

Ms Christine Hodge has been Director of Centacare Family & Relationship Services for 8 years and during this time Christine has led services that effectively support families, children and young people to manage the many challenges of family and community life.

Christine started her career in teaching and joined Centacare 19 years ago undertaking an adult education role in relationship education.  Being both an educator and manager of Centacare relationship education has allowed Christine to build, support and lead professional teams who can work alongside families, individuals and communities using values based, ethical and best practice frameworks.

Christine is a member of Family Relationships Services Australia, PeakCare, QCOSS and Catholic Social Services Australia.

Diane Lally

Mrs Diane Lally commenced as Director of Human Resources for the Archdiocese of Brisbane in May 2012.  Diane commenced her Human Resources  (HR) career in the mining industry and has had extensive experience in HR roles in manufacturing – BOC Gases, York Air conditioning and MCK Group.  Diane has held Human Resources Director roles for Ernst & Young and NIB Health Fund. Through Diane’s extensive HR expertise and management support she has assisted with the development of Centacare’s Management capability and enhanced employee development.  Diane’s focus is having the right people with the right ability in the right place at the right time to provide care to those we support.

Diane holds a Bachelor of Business, a Graduate Diploma in Business and completed Strategic Human Resources Management at Harvard.  She is also a fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute (being awarded the Human Resources Medal in 2013), a member of the Australian Institute of Training and Development and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Stuart Lummis

Mr Stuart Lummis has been the Director Planning, Building and Facilities for the Archdiocese of Brisbane since 2009.  Before joining the Archdiocese of Brisbane Stuart was Chief Executive Officer and Chief Property Officer at Fig Tree Developments.  Prior to this he held executive positions in Leighton and Bovis, Lend Lease Queensland and Management roles in the banking and finance sector for more than a decades.

Stuart’s extensive experience in property management and planning means that he is able to bring a holistic view to Centacare in its property ownership and utilisation.

Derek Millar

Director Accounting and Finance | B Comm CA

Mr Derek Millar joined the Archdiocese of Brisbane in 2002 and has been the Director Accounting and Finance with Centacare since 2010. Derek qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1985 whilst training at KMPG and since that time has held various finance manager and director positions with organisations in Commerce and Industry.

Mr Derek Millar joined the Archdiocese of Brisbane in 2002 and has been the Director Accounting and Finance with Centacare since 2010. Derek qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1985 whilst training at KMPG and since that time has held various finance manager and director positions with organisations in Commerce and Industry.

During his time with Centacare Derek has been able to use his extensive financial management and systems experience gained across a varying range of industries to providing financial support and services to Centacare.

Derek is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Judy Norris

Director Pastoral Ministries

Judy commenced working at Centacare Pastoral Ministries in early 2015. In this role Judy oversees a range of faith based services in the community including health care and correctional institutions within the Brisbane Archdiocese.

 

Judy Norris

Judy commenced working at Centacare Pastoral Ministries in early 2015. In this role Judy oversees a range of faith based services in the community including health care and correctional institutions within the Brisbane Archdiocese.

Judy’s early career involved volunteering in parishes within Sacramental programs and teaching Religious Education in State Schools. As a registered teacher Judy then taught in primary and secondary schools for 15 years both in Far North Queensland, Central Queensland and Brisbane. During a number of years in Bundaberg she was the Marriage Education Coordinator for Centacare and an adult Faith Education coordinator. She has also worked in the former Archdiocesan agency Faith and Life as a Ministry Development Officer.

Most recently Judy worked as part of the Mater Pastoral Care Team in 2012 which involved pastoral care in a range of hospital wards and wider involvement in Mission initiatives at the hospital.

Judy is currently the Chair for the Queensland Multifaith Healthcare Council and is a board member for the Institute of Faith Education. She is a member of the Queensland College of Teachers and has recently completed a term on the Catholic Society of Marriage Educators Executive.

Judy’s experience brings to Centacare a very good working knowledge of the Archdiocese, a deep understanding of the role of pastoral ministry based on experience and knowledge, and a deep faith and belief in the importance of the Church’s mission expressed through pastoral ministry.  

David Oliver

David is an experienced, qualified and driven senior executive and strategist with proven capacity and passion to inspire and lead large teams. David’s professional experience has been in a variety of roles and industries where his understanding and appreciation of all stakeholders has allowed him to motivate teams and improve operation and process.

David is an experienced, qualified and driven senior executive and strategist with proven capacity and passion to inspire and lead large teams. David’s professional experience has been in a variety of roles and industries where his understanding and appreciation of all stakeholders has allowed him to motivate teams and improve operation and process.

During his career David has led a number of large cross-functional teams through significant change to drive growth and efficiency and to position the organisations as client centric. David is currently the director of Railway First Aid Volunteers a not-for-profit organisation.

In his role as Senior Director Community Services, David leads a workforce of 1700 providing leadership, strategic direction and operational oversight of aged care and disability support services in a rapidly changing environment led by reform and more informed and empowered clients.          

Stewart Thompson

Mr Stewart Thompson has been with Centacare for more than 25 years and the Director of Centacare Disability Support for the past 15 years.  Prior to his current leadership role Stewart held various positions such as support roles, program and service manager within Centacare’s Disability support services.

Mr Stewart Thompson has been with Centacare for more than 25 years and the Director of Centacare Disability Support for the past 15 years.  Prior to his current leadership role Stewart held various positions such as support roles, program and service manager within Centacare’s Disability Support services.

Stewart has extensive experience within the Disability sector which has allowed him to take on a strong advocacy role with significant experience in lobbying at all levels of government and in the community to influence change and policy decisions.  Stewart’s continued focus is to ensure that Centacare clients seamlessly transfer into the National Disability Insurance Scheme and that those with a disability have choice and independence.
