ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

The Archdiocese of Brisbane provides daily support to over 160,000 people through its aged care, childcare, education, welfare, parishes and community services. The Archdiocese is embarking on a new strategic approach to marketing these services.

The Archdiocese is looking for someone with compassion and professionalism who will provide best practice guidance to leaders, peers and team members.  The successful applicant will be a community minded person who sees this role as an opportunity to use their professional skills to support good works for people in need.

The Archdiocese of Brisbane covers the region from the NSW border to Hervey Bay and as far west as Kingaroy. The Archdiocese is made up of 100 parishes, Catholic social services, community based agencies, and various professional services and ministries.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position works with the General Manager, Marketing and Engagement to develop and implement strategies and campaigns to effectively market Archdiocesan services and engage with key audiences, as a part of an overarching Marketing and Engagement framework.

A key focus will be to support the Archdiocese's service delivery arm, Centacare, to deliver of a broad range of social services (including disability, aged care, child care and family services) and participate effectively in an increasingly competitive market environment.

The Manager, Marketing and Communication will work closely with the General Manager and Directors of Services to identify and analyse market opportunities and develop and implement effective marketing and engagement plans which align with Archdiocesan mission and values and the Centacare brand, while responding to local needs.

Key responsibilities include:

 - Collaboration with colleagues in the Marketing and Engagement, Archdiocesan Communications and Catholic Foundation teams to develop and deliver timely, innovative consumer focussed content and products across a range of digital and offline channels, ensuring integration of brand and messaging.

- Lead market and consumer research, engagement and analysis; monitor industry trends and competitor behaviour to inform marketing activities.

- Support leadership teams with issues management, advocacy strategies, event planning and management, and development of media, speech and presentation materials.

- Develop internal communication and engagement strategies which inform and support external marketing and communication activities.
