Description:

Centacare Family and Relationship Services (CFRS) is part of Centacare in the Archdiocese of Brisbane.  Our branches respond to local community needs throughout South East Queensland. 

Domestic and Family Violence Mobile Support Service (DFVMSS)' is a reasonably new service within CFRS on the Gold Coast and it currently has a full time position available. We have extensive experience in the delivery of domestic violence services within the Gold Coast.

Within this role there is a requirement to engage in an on-call after-hours and weekend responses, via phone and or outreach support with clients and referring agencies. This position will be based on the Gold Coast.

Key requirements of this role include:
o Skills in undertaking comprehensive risk assessments, intensive case management and coordination, referrals for additional services and supporting and support their transition to sustainable housing.
o Demonstrated understanding of the Domestic and Family Violence Act, Child Protection Act, Family Law Act and Privacy Act.
o A minimum of 2 year's experience in the domestic violence sector with knowledge of the Domestic Violence Legislation, Practice Standards and crisis intervention is essential.
o Experience in or capacity to rapidly acquire knowledge of the housing and homeless service sector and relevant legislation.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social or Behavioral Sciences from a recognised tertiary institution or equivalent.  Eligibility for membership of PACFA, APS, AASW, or similar recognised professional association is also required. 

A current driver's licence, current (or eligibility for) Qld Working with Children Check - 'Blue Card', Federal Police Check and evidence of Australian Work Rights to confirm citizenship or a visa holder is required.

Remuneration:Full-time Level 5 or 6 (dependent on experience and qualifications) Social Community Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award - Level 5.1 starting at $35.1429 per hour ($69.442.36 pro rata annually) Level 6.1 starting at $38.1734 per hour ($75,430.68 pro rata annually) 17.5% Leave Loading and 9.5% Superannuation.
